I am a PhD student in the Terrestrial Water Dynamics research group at the Department of Remote Sensing, Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) and a cohortian of MoDEV (towards novel Model-Data fusion for understanding Environmental Variability in space and time from high-resolution remote sensing). My overall goal is the estimation of high-resolution soil moisture dynamics from the synergy of multi-source data. More specifically, I compare existing soil moisture products, assimilate remote sensing products into land surface models for high-resolution soil moisture estimations, and derive root zone soil moisture from remote sensing products.
